I'm 20 years old. I'm 278.6 lbs. I have an eight-month-old daughter. I have been overweight since the first grade and have been struggling to lose the excess for years. When I became pregnant, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and have been on medication for it ever since. In my opinion, I am way to young to be popping pills every morning. Two months after I gave birth, I had surgery to remove gallstones, which can be caused by being overweight and/or pregnancy. I'm guessing in my case it was both. The surgeon had ultrasounds of my gall bladder taken which also showed that I had what he called a "fatty liver". In other words, my liver is pretty much covered in fat which can cause cirrhosis. So, yeah, I'd say I need to lose the weight.
